OUTIL DE COUPE EN ALLIAGE DUR REVETU DE CARBONITRURE DE TITANE
The cutting tool consists of a substrate made of a hard alloy containing from 40 to 95 % of WC, 3 to 50 % of carbides of group IV and V metals, and from 2 to 15 % of an Fe, Ni and/or Co binder, and of a titanium carbonitride coating Ti CxNy (0.8 < x + y </= 1). In a diagram with co-ordinates p...

Summary: | The cutting tool consists of a substrate made of a hard alloy containing from 40 to 95 % of WC, 3 to 50 % of carbides of group IV and V metals, and from 2 to 15 % of an Fe, Ni and/or Co binder, and of a titanium carbonitride coating Ti CxNy (0.8 < x + y </= 1). In a diagram with co-ordinates p (percentage of metal carbides other than WC) and x, the representative point M(p,x) is situated inside the quadrilateral ABCD such that for A p = 3 x = 0.9 B p = 10 x = 0.9 C p = 50 x = 0.3 D p = 23 x = 0.3 The cutting tools have a markedly improved resistance to wear, both flank wear and in character. |
