Summary:The present disclosure discloses a self-protection method for a firefighting box and a firefighting box. The method includes: providing a firefighting box mechanism; providing a fire monitoring structure on the firefighting box mechanism to monitor whether a fire occurs; providing a self-protection structure associated with the fire monitoring structure on the firefighting box mechanism; obtaining a monitoring result via the fire monitoring structure; and determining whether to activate the self-protection structure according to the monitoring result. The self-protection structure can avoid damage to the firefighting box mechanism in case of fire. The obtaining a monitoring result via the fire monitoring structure includes that the fire monitoring structure is capable of monitoring the environment of the firefighting box and determining whether a fire occurs. The self-protection structure is capable of avoiding the firefighting box mechanism from being damaged in case of fire, since the self-protection structure can avoid the fire from approaching the firefighting box, avoid the firefighting box from being damaged by high temperature, and avoid the firefighting box from being heated to over high temperature.
