Summary:내용없음 There is disclosed a radiolucent patient surface comprising a radiolucent patient supporting member (90) having a predetermined radiolucent area (w) thereacross, and a non-planar radiolucent reinforcing member (91) having portions (99,100) disposed in operative normally spaced-apart underlying relationship with respect to said patient supporting member (90) across said predetermined area (w); said reinforcing member portions (99,100) providing deflection resisting support for said patient supporting member (90). In preferred embodiments multiple elements of a blow-moulded, integral patient support surface each include a synthetic sheet-like patient support element (90) and an underlying synthetic corrugated reinforcing element (91) spaced from the support element (90). When loaded, the patient support element (90) engages the corrugated reinforcing element (91) which resists deflection and rigidifies the surface. The corrugation angulation and the combined wall thickness of the flat support (90) and corrugated reinforcing elements (9l) in a predetermined area (w) are selected to provide an effective combined wall thickness within F.D.A. attenuation standards, yet still provide sufficient rigidity and aberration-free x-rays. An adjustable x-ray plate cassette is disclosed.
