Summary: | The invention relates to heating by electrical resistors.
It provides for the use of switching systems, especially thyristors associated with electrical resistors, the functioning of which is to be controlled, for controlling them in the syncopated mode by means of an industrial computer, an industrial automatic programable mechanism or the like performing a set of functions which make it possible to calculate the powers to be dissipated, on the one hand, and to control the switching systems directly so as to dissipate the previously calculated powers, on the other hand.
The invention is used for controlling industrial furnaces and, more particularly, glass furnaces, especially furnaces for heating glass with a view to tempering and/or swelling the glass. |
