Summary:The flame retardant thermoplastic polyester resin compsn. comprises: 5-90 wt.pts. of polyester resin; 5-90 wt.pts. of ABS resin (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene graft copolymer); 1-30 wt.pts. of aromatic polycarbonate resin; 1-50 wt.pts. of bromostyrene cpd.-acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer; and 1-30 wt.pts. of antimonium trioxide. The ABS resin comprises 10-90 wt.% of butadiene based rubber; 5-40 wt.% of vinylcyan based monomer; and 20-80 wt.% of styrene based monomer. The bromostyrene cpd.-acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer comprises 5-70 wt.% of bromostyrene cpd. of formula (I) where x = 1-5; 5-40 wt.% of acrylonitrile; and 20-80 wt.% of styrene.
