Summary:The sensor (4) with a magnetic film (1) for magnetic recording and with a metal carrier (3) of essentially magnetic material has a film layer (2) of non-magnetic material between the magentic film and the metal carrier. The non-magnetic film is not open to the outside at its ends. The metal carrier can be part of a shaft. The magnetic film can be applied to the non-magnetic film on the carrier by applying a liquid contg. magnetic, bonding and solvent material to the non-magnetic film as the shaft is rotated. USE/ADVANTAGE - Prevents stray losses of magnetic flux and e.g. for measurement of torque, rotation speed and angle of shaft element.
