PROCESS FOR MAKING THE MATERIAL FOR NON-MAGNETIC ROLL FOR CONTINOUS CASTING
The high-strength non-magnetic roll material comprises by wt.%, 0.10-0.20 C, up to 1.0 Si, 20-30 Mn, up to 0.03 P, up to 0.010 S, 2.0-4.0 Cu, 1-3 Cr, 1-3 Mo, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities. After heating at 1250-1350 deg.C, the steel is heat- rolled at 1200-900 deg.C. The roll material...

Summary: | The high-strength non-magnetic roll material comprises by wt.%, 0.10-0.20 C, up to 1.0 Si, 20-30 Mn, up to 0.03 P, up to 0.010 S, 2.0-4.0 Cu, 1-3 Cr, 1-3 Mo, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities. After heating at 1250-1350 deg.C, the steel is heat- rolled at 1200-900 deg.C. The roll material has an austenitic structure stabilized by adding 2-4 % Cu and 1-3 % Mo. The yield strength and tensile strength of the material are enhanced. And acid resistance, high-temperature oxidation resistance, and welding property are enhanced. |
