Summary: | The zeolitic calcium silicate is prepared by (A) mixing calcic material and siliceous material with water, (B) filling the mixture in an autoclave, while adding 0.3-5 wt.% sodium fluoride powder as a catalyst with respect to solid part of the reactant mixture, and (C) agitating and reacting the mixture at 190-245 deg.C for 3-6 hrs. The process can reduce the reaction time by a large margin. The obtained product has a 0.2-30 m particle distribution, apparent density of 0.13, and oil absorptivity of 100 g linseed oil/100 g zeolitic calcium silicate. The product powder is used for manufacturing aqueous paint of acrylic emulsion as pigment. |
