The dispersing agent is selected from polyoxyethylene nonylphenylether, polyoxyethylene octylphenylether, polyoxyethylene laurylether, polyoxyethylene cetylether, polyoxyethylene oleicether, polyoxyethylene polyolether, polyoxyethylene alkyl aryl sulfater, dioctyl sulfosuccinate alkali salt, alkyl phosphate ester or arylphosphate ester. Cpd. (I) is useful as an intermediate in the prodn. of disperse dyestuffs.
