C-16 alkyl, C2-4 alkenyl substd. by C1-6 alkyl or phenyl opt. substd. by halogen, CN, NO2, C1-4 alkyl, amino or carbamoyl; E= methine gp. or N; R1= H, halogen, C1-4 alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl or haloalkoxy, C1-5 alkoxyalkoxy or C1-5 alkylthio; R2= C1-3 alkyl or alkoxy substd. by halogen; R3= H, halogen or amino; X= O, S sulfinyl or sulfonyl. (I) are useful as selective herbicides.
