Summary:A process is claimed for the casting of sacrificial anodes using a cylindrical mould (1) equipped with a moving bottom (2) through which passes s tubular insert (3). The anodic molten metal (4) is injected into the mould from a reservoir (5) equipped with a means (6) of regulating the rate of injection to maintain a constant level (7) of liquid via a vertical nozzle (8) the end (9) of which is situated in the metal not yet solidified (10) and arranged to allow the metal to enter perpendicular to the axis of the insert (3). A blowpipe (12) whose end is fitted with an enlargement (13) pierced with holes (14) distributes the cooling fluid (15) onto the part of the insert (3) opposite the solidification front (16).
