Summary:The power supply has an AC source (1) connected to a rectifier circuit (2) the DC output of which is applied to an elecric power conversion circuit (3). The AC output of the converter is applied to the transformer (4) feeding a second rectifier circuit (5) supplying DC power to the magnetron (6). A temp. sensor (7) detects the temp. (T) of the magnetron and providing this remains below a preset value (Ts), an output power instruction value (P) is applied to the power conversion circuit by the control circuit (8). If the magnetron temp. exceeds, the preset value, the output power instruction is reduced to a lower value (Ps) and the magnetron overheating is relieved.
