Summary: | Header information items such as sector marks indicate initial positions of sector track numbers and sector numbers are written on the magnets-optical disc in the form of embossed pits. Data is written as magnetic signals in other areas. An optical and optoelectrical system detects the header information terms and an optoelectrical detector detects the data information. A switching circuit is controlled from timing the point of detection of the sector mark determines which detector is in use at any instant. Pref. a control circuit sets the circuit upon track changing to the header mode, from which it is released after sector mark detection. |
