Summary:Apparatus for providing a regulated flow of a plastic material such as dough comprises a feed conveyor continuously feeding the material, a weighing device continuously measuring the weight of successive portions of the material conveyed past the weighing device, a constant-speed conveyor arranged in series with and adjacent to the discharge region of the feed conveyor, and control means for controlling the speed of at least the discharging region of the feed conveyor in an inverse relationship to the weight of a material portion measured for stretching or compressing the material so as to make constant the weight of material per unit length.
