Summary: | This invention is a still camera having double exposure prevention system. This camera comprises a shutter actuating system and a film advancing system for advancing a film strip. The shutter actuating system includes a slider member, a resilient biasing spring, a latching structure and a release means. The slider member is movable as one body in two opposite linear directions aligned along a given axis between first or released and fully coked positions. The biasing spring pushes the slider member to the released position to operate the shutter. The latching structure is responsive to the movement of the slider member to a fully cocked position for captively retaining the slider member in such position against the force of the biasing spring. |
