Summary:The network includes node units connected to one another via data lines. Each unit comprises an interface connected to a multiprocessor system comprising a number of processors communicating with an interprocessor bus. A buffer memory is provided in each interface for storing packets of information transferred to the interface from one of the systems to which it is connected and from adjacent node units in the network. Each packet indicates one of the processors to which it is to be sent. A controller is included in each interface for trnasferring the packets between adjacent ones of the node units.
