Summary: | To directly reduce iron oxide to molten iron, in a shaft-shaped redcuction furnace, solid fuel is used as a reductant. A carbonic solid-particle fule of iron oxide is continuously supplied into the particle input to form filler materials. Using electronic resistance heating, oxygen in the iron oxide particle and carbonic fule are reacted to reduce iron oxide to molten oxide. Gas in the upper part of the furnace is removed and cooled, and then is recirculated. |
