Summary:To mount an annular shroud(2) on a ship stern (1R) in front of a propeller(3), a series of pieces(15) are fixed at a predetermined distance along the periphery of the shroud. Points(P) are marked on a number of the pieces located at the same distance from the center of the shroud, which is then mounted to the ship stern. In this process, the shroud is centered so that the circular locus of the beam emitted from a projector, being rotated around the rotating axis of the propeller, passes over the marked points. This ensures exact centering of the shroud with respect to the propeller axis.
