A medical liquid injection device is disclosed. The medical liquid injection device may include: a needle assembly including a needle and a cannula into which the needle is inserted; a reservoir which is connected to the needle assembly and stores a medical liquid; and a control module which, when the needle is withdrawn from a subject in a state where the cannula is inserted in the subject, determines a discharge amount of the medical liquid on the basis of an empty space of the cannula and controls a discharge amount from the reservoir so that the medical liquid is discharged as much as the discharged amount of the medical liquid, so as to allow a part of the discharged amount of the medical liquid, which is discharged from the reservoir and then delivered through the cannula, to be injected into the subject.
