본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 바이패스의 감지와 회피가 가능한 양방향 고전압 컨버터 및 이의 동작 방법은, 바이패스(bypass)의 발생 여부를 감지하고, 바이패스의 발생이 감지된 경우 바이패스를 회피하기 위한 동작과 바이패스를 대처하기 위한 동작을 수행함으로써, 바이패스의 발생 여부를 검출할 수 있어 시스템의 결함을 회피할 수 있고, 전압 센서와 전류 센서를 추가하지 않더라도 기존 시스템에서 바이패스의 발생 여부를 검출할 수 있다.
