The present invention relates to a polycyclic compound having a characteristic fused ring structure and an organic light-emitting device employing same as a dopant of a light-emitting layer. An improved organic light-emitting device that is more effective and that has a longer lifespan can be produced using the compound of the present invention, and as such, the compound can be effectively used industrially, not only for lighting elements, but for various display devices such as flat panels, and flexible and wearable displays.
