An AI social robot capable of operating as multiple characters according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body, and a plurality of packs which are detachably attached to the main body and each of which has a unique character set therein, wherein when one of the plurality of packs is mounted on the main body, the main body receives, from the mounted pack, information about a character set in the mounted pack, performs AI learning suitable for the character with respect to data collected independently, and operates as the character according to the AI learning.
