According to an embodiment, reliability of touches generated in a panel comprising a touch electrode having a mixed touch pattern is checked to distinguish actual and ghost touches, thereby allowing the ghost touches to be eliminated. In addition, according to an embodiment, even in the case of changes in the pattern of a touch electrode, accurate coordinates can be determined, like from the pattern of a conventional touch electrode, by means of data processing.
