Summary: | According to the present invention, provided are a compound applicable to an electron transport layer, a hole retention layer, a charge generation layer, etc., of an organic electroluminescent device, the organic electroluminescent device in which such a compound is used, and a display apparatus comprising such an organic electroluminescent device. When a novel compound comprising at least one structure represented by chemical formula 1 is used as a material for an n-type charge-generating layer of the organic electroluminescent device with a tandem structure, a white organic field emitting device having a low driving voltage, high efficiency, and long lifespan can be realized.
