Summary: | Provided is a separator for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery with improved mechanical strength and guaranteed flexibility, which contains: a porous substrate including a porous film including a polyolefin resin as a main component; and a heat-resistant resin including nitrogen (N), wherein the ratio of the presence ratio of nitrogen (N): N_2 when energy dispersive X-ray analysis is performed at an acceleration voltage of 5.0 kV, to the presence ratio of nitrogen (N): N_1 when energy dispersive X-ray analysis is performed at an acceleration voltage of 1.5 kV, is 50 % or more and 80 % or less.
