According to the present invention, disclosed is a battery module with an improved structure to ensure safety. The battery module according to one aspect of the present invention includes: a cell assembly including one or more battery cells; a module case that accommodates the cell assembly in an internal space and has a venting hole to allow gas in the internal space to be discharged to the outside; a filtering member provided in the venting hole of the module case and configured to filter foreign substances introduced into the internal space from an external space through the venting hole; and a plurality of mesh members which are configured in a mesh form, respectively and are provided on both sides of the filtering member. 본 발명은 안전성이 확보될 수 있도록 구조가 개선된 배터리 모듈 등을 개시한다. 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 배터리 모듈은, 하나 이상의 배터리 셀을 구비하는 셀 어셈블리; 내부 공간에 상기 셀 어셈블리를 수용하고, 내부 공간의 가스가 외부로 배출되도록 벤팅 홀이 형성된 모듈 케이스; 상기 모듈 케이스의 벤팅 홀에 구비되어, 외부 공간으로부터 상기 벤팅 홀을 통해 상기 내부 공간으로 이물질이 유입되는 것을 필터링하도록 구성된 필터링 부재; 및 각각 메쉬 형태로 구성되며, 상기 필터링 부재의 양측에 구비된 다수의 메쉬 부재를 포함한다.
