Summary: | An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises: a display; a memory which saves reference sound sources and the size of the reference sound source by frequency band; and a processor operatively connected with the display and the memory. The processor may be configured to select a first sound source; confirm the size of the first sound source by frequency band; compare the size of the reference sound source by frequency band and the size of the first sound source by frequency band to calculate a first characteristic, which is a characteristic of the first sound source by frequency band; and use the first characteristic to modify the size of the second sound source by frequency band. In addition, various embodiments can be implemented. According to the present invention, it is possible to extract a sound source suitable for the preference of a user and apply the characteristics of the extracted sound source to other sound sources to play.
