In accordance with the present invention, a smart exhaust hood, which is a hood provided to be linked with a heating unit, includes: a hood unit including a sensing part sensing surroundings, and removing harmful gas including a smell, smoke and fine dust produced by the heating unit; and a control unit connected with the heating unit and the hood unit, ventilating the harmful gas through the hood unit when the operation of the heating unit is checked through the sensing part, and removing a power source supplied to the heating unit and the hood unit through a cutoff part when a gas leak and fire occurrence are checked through the sensing part, wherein the control unit controls the hood unit in accordance with initial connection settings based on power source consumption time information such that the malfunction of the hood unit linked with the heating unit can be prevented. Therefore, the present invention is capable of removing residual fine dust. 본 발명에 따른 스마트 후드는, 발열 유닛과 연동되도록 마련되는 후드로서,주변을 감지하는 감지부를 포함하고, 발열 유닛에 의해 발생된 냄새, 연기, 미세먼지를 포함한 유해가스를 제거하는 후드 유닛 및 발열 유닛 및 후드 유닛과 연결되고, 감지부를 통해 발열 유닛의 가동이 확인되면 후드 유닛을 통해 유해가스를 환기시키며, 감지부를 통해 가스누출 및 화재발생이 확인되면 차단부를 통해 발열 유닛 및 후드 유닛으로 공급되는 전력원을 제거하는 제어 유닛을 포함하되, 제어 유닛은, 발열 유닛에 연동되는 후드 유닛의 오동작을 방지하도록, 발열 유닛의 전력원 사용 시간정보를 기반으로 한 초기연결설정에 따라 후드 유닛을 제어한다.
