A monitoring device according to an embodiment disclosed in the present document may comprise: an image acquisition part that acquires an image of at least one process processing device related to manufacturing of a battery cell; an analysis part that inputs the acquired image into an artificial intelligence model for determining a welding state of a battery cell and generates a first determination result that determines whether the battery cell is defective; and a determination part that determines whether the battery cell is defective based on the first determination result.
