Summary:The present invention relates to a method for designing an automated process using an authoring tool. The method comprises: a step (a) of providing, by a processor, a design screen and a collection of components including function blocks and multiple operators for designing an automated process; a step (b) of providing, by the processor, a settings menu for a component dragged and dropped on the design screen so that component attributes are set; and a step (c) of creating and displaying, by the processor, a connector to connect the next component to be created, according to the component attributes and a dragged and dropped location. Steps (b) and (c) are performed sequentially and repeatedly according to the selection of a component by a system operator, wherein a business process in which an operating sequence is defined by being connected by the connector according to locations of sequentially created components is created. If the component dragged and dropped in step (b) is a termination operator, step (c) is not performed. If the component dragged and dropped in step (b) is a function block, a name including a service type, a performer, and an action is extracted from attributes set in the function block and displayed in a field of the function block.
