The present invention relates to a data migration method and a connection terminal device using the same. According to the present invention, a connection terminal device connected to an external device is provided with a first data connector connected to the external device at one end and a second data connector at the other end. When the connection terminal device is connected to the external device via the first data connector and the first data connector of another connection terminal device is connected to the second data connector of the connection terminal device, the connection terminal device becomes a sink terminal, the other connection terminal device becomes a source terminal, and data migration is performed from the connection terminal device that has become the source terminal to the connection terminal device that has become the sink terminal. Therefore, the present invention can prevent user mistakes by visually indicating the direction of migration when the connection terminal device is connected. 본 발명은 데이터 마이그레이션 방법 및 이를 이용하는 접속 단말 장치에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 외부 장치에 연결되는 접속 단말 장치는 일단에는 상기 외부 장치에 접속되는 제1 데이터 커넥터가 구비되어 있고, 타단에는 제2 데이터 커넥터가 구비되어 있으며, 상기 접속 단말 장치가 상기 제1 데이터 커넥터를 통해 상기 외부 장치에 접속된 상태에서, 다른 접속 단말 장치의 제1 데이터 커넥터가 상기 접속 단말 장치의 제2 데이터 커넥터에 접속되면, 상기 접속 단말 장치는 싱크 단말이 되고, 상기 다른 접속 단말 장치는 소스 단말이 되며, 상기 소스 단말이 된 상기 접속 단말 장치에서 상기 싱크 단말이 된 상기 접속 단말 장치로 데이터 마이그레이션이 수행된다.
