Summary: | According to one embodiment of the present invention, an imaging optical system comprises a first lens having refractive power, a second lens having refractive power, a third lens having refractive power, a fourth lens having refractive power, a fifth lens having refractive power, a sixth lens having refractive power, and a seventh lens having refractive power. Moreover, the average of the maximum diameters of the first to fifth lenses is greater than half of the maximum diameter of the seventh lens. Therefore, the imaging optical system is capable of easily implementing high resolution.
