Summary:The present invention relates to a sudden unintended acceleration safety system for a vehicle, which has a new structure capable of effectively preventing the acceleration of the vehicle when a sudden unintended acceleration occurs, and safely stopping the vehicle. According to the present invention, in the sudden unintended acceleration safety system for a vehicle, when a driver operates a fuel blocking switch (11), the fuel is prevented from being supplied to an engine (2b) of the vehicle, thereby preventing the vehicle from accelerating. When the driver operates a foot brake control switch (13), a foot brake control means (30) operates a brake apparatus (3c) of the vehicle, so that the vehicle can stop. Therefore, when a sudden intended acceleration occurs, an accident caused by constantly accelerating and not braking the vehicle can be prevented. 본 발명은 차량의 급발진 발생시 차량이 가속되는 것을 효과적으로 방지하면서, 차량을 안전하게 정지시킬 수 있도록 된 새로운 구조의 차량용 급발진 안전시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 차량용 급발진 안전시스템은 차량에 급발진이 발생된 상태에서, 운전자가 연료차단스위치(11)를 조작하면 연료차단이 차량의 엔진(2b)으로 연료가 공급되지 않도록 함으로써 차량이 가속되는 것을 방지하고, 운전자가 풋브레이크제어스위치(13)를 조작하면 풋브레이크제어수단(30)이 차량의 브레이크장치(3c)를 작동시켜 차량이 정차되도록 한다. 따라서, 급발진 발생시 차량이 지속적으로 가속되고, 차량이 제동되지 않아서 사고가 발생되는 것을 방지할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
