Summary:Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus for measuring a load due to food placed on a tray in a cooking device and a method of controlling the same. To this end, the cooking device may be configured so that a bar-shaped guide rod is formed to extend in a vertical direction from a lower side of a storage tray, which is provided so that each of a plurality of rollers in rolling contact with a bottom surface of a tray may be independently mounted, to a floor of a cavity, a lower end portion of the guide rod is fixedly inserted into a first coupling portion formed on a load transmission member, and an electrical signal is generated from a load cell by the load transmitted by the load transmission member. According to the present disclosure, by guiding the weight of the reliable cooking device in the cooking device, it is possible to not only provide convenience to the user, but also prevent damage due to heat generated when the sensor provided to measure the weight performs cooking.
