Summary:Disclosed are a repeater for measuring a degree of isolation using a flexible section and a measuring method thereof. According to one embodiment, a method for measuring a degree of isolation of a repeater may comprise the steps of: extracting information about an uplink section, a downlink section, and a flexible section from a first signal received from a base station through a donor antenna; attenuating a second signal generated based on the first signal through an isolation attenuation circuit and transmitting the attenuated second signal to a service antenna; measuring an output level in the flexible section of the attenuated second signal; and measuring the isolation value of the repeater based on whether the output level exceeds a predetermined oscillation threshold. 플렉시블 구간을 이용하여 격리도를 측정하는 중계기 및 그 측정 방법이 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따른 중계기의 격리도(isolation)를 측정하는 방법은 도너(donor) 안테나를 통하여 기지국으로부터 수신한 제 1 신호로부터 상향링크(uplink) 구간, 하향링크(downlink) 구간 및 플렉시블(flexible) 구간에 대한 정보를 추출하는 단계; 제 1 신호에 기초하여 생성한 제 2 신호를 격리도 감쇠(isolation attenuation) 회로를 통해 감쇠시켜 서비스 안테나로 전송하는 단계; 감쇠된 제 2 신호의 플렉시블 구간에서 출력 레벨을 측정하는 단계; 및 출력 레벨이 소정의 발진 임계값을 초과하는지 여부에 기초하여 중계기의 격리도 값을 측정하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
