Disclosed are a system for supporting pantograph charging and an operating method thereof, which can support efficient power management. The system for supporting pantograph charging comprises: a charging system power supply part supplying power for charging at least one electric bus; a control system generating a control command for charging the at least one electric bus; a power management system arranged between the charging system power supply part and the control system to control power of the charging system power supply part to selectively supply the power to component modules for charging the at least one electric bus and perform state measurement of the component modules to provide measured state information as monitoring information of the component modules for the control system; and the component modules performing a function for charging the at least one electric bus when power is supplied, wherein the power is supplied and shut off in response to the control of the power management system. 본 발명은 적어도 하나의 전기버스 충전을 위한 전원을 공급하는 충전 시스템 전원부, 상기 적어도 하나의 전기버스 충전을 위한 제어 명령을 생성하는 관제 시스템, 상기 충전 시스템 전원부와 상기 관제 시스템 사이에 배치되어 상기 충전 시스템 전원부의 전원을 상기 적어도 하나의 전기버스 충전을 위한 구성 모듈들에 선택적으로 공급하도록 제어하고, 상기 구성 모듈들의 상태 측정을 수행하여 측정된 상태 정보를 상기 구성 모듈들의 모니터링 정보로서 상기 관제 시스템에 제공하는 전력 관리 시스템, 상기 전력 관리 시스템의 제어에 대응하여 전력 공급 및 차단되고, 상기 전력 공급 시 상기 적어도 하나의 전기버스 충전을 위한 기능을 수행하는 상기 구성 모듈들을 포함하는 팬터그래프 충전을 지원하는 시스템과 이의 운용 방법을 개시한다.
