Summary:The present invention relates to a partial discharge measurement device and a method thereof. The present invention discloses a technology for accurately and reliably measuring partial discharge by distinguishing between a partial discharge signal and a noise signal such as a background noise in a partial discharge measurement signal of a high-voltage power device and removing the noise from the signal. A partial discharge measurement method includes: a measurement signal reception step of receiving a partial discharge measurement signal from the high-voltage power device; a composite signal generation step of generating an inverted signal for the measurement signal and synthesizing the measurement signal and the inverted signal to generate a composite signal; a noise determination step of determining noise in the synthesized signal; and a partial discharge signal generation step of generating a partial discharge signal by removing noise from the measurement signal based on the determined noise. 본 발명은 부분 방전 측정 장치 및 방법으로서, 고압 전력 기기의 부분방전 측정 신호에서 부분방전 신호와 배경잡음 등의 노이즈 신호를 구분하여 노이즈를 제거한 신호를 통해 정확하고 신뢰성 높게 부분방전을 측정하는 기술을 개시한다.
