Abstract | The present disclosure relates to 5G (5^(th) generation) or pre-5G communication systems to support higher data rates after 4G (4^(th) generation) communication systems such as LTE (Long Term Evolution). According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device in a wireless communication system, which can effectively perform wireless communication due to rapid synchronization recovery, comprises: at least one transceiver; and at least one processor operatively coupled to the at least one transceiver, wherein the at least one processor may obtain a first synchronization of a first carrier, which is in-synchronization (in-sync), determine a second synchronization of a second carrier, which is out-of-synchronization (out-of-sync) based on the first synchronization, and perform communication based on the second synchronization.
