Summary:The present invention is to provide a suction pad capable of reliably adsorbing even an object that does not generate sufficient reaction force when a pad body is pressed against the object. A suction pad (1) that adsorbs and holds fruit (K1) comprises a pad body (5) formed of an elastically deformable member and having a base end portion held therein; a cavity (6) formed inside the pad body (5) to extend from the base end side to the leading end side; and an adsorption hole (7) opened at the leading end portion of the pad body (5) to communicate with the cavity (6), wherein the opening diameter (d1) of the adsorption hole (7) is smaller than the inner diameter (D1) of the cavity (6).
