Summary:The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery having an ignition suppression structure and a method for manufacturing the lithium secondary battery. More specifically, the present invention provides a method which positions a high-capacity part including high-capacity unit cells with large energy density on an upper portion and a lower portion of a low-capacity part including low-capacity unit cells with relatively small energy density to suppress ignition phenomena of the lithium secondary battery. 본 발명은 발화억제 구조를 갖는 리튬이차전지 및 상기 리튬이차전지를 제조하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 보다 구체적으로 본 발명은 에너지 밀도가 큰 고용량 단위셀을 포함하는 고용량부를 에너지 밀도가 상대적으로 작은 저용량 단위셀을 포함하는 저용량부의 상부 및 하부에 위치시켜 리튬이차전지의 발화 현상을 억제할 수 있는 방법을 제공하는 것이 특징이다.
