Presents a device and a method for managing defects at apartment finishing construction sites. The device and the method for managing defects comprise: a storage unit which stores the floor plan of the finishing construction site with areas of each space divided so that the manager can select the area where defects were found; an input/output unit which provides the manager with a floor plan of the site to be managed by the manager, selects an area where a defect is found on the floor plan from the manager, and receives information on the defect including work type information; a control unit which generates defect data containing information on the area selected by the manager and information on the input defect for each defect and stores it in the storage unit, and classifies the defect data by work type; and a communication unit which transmits defect data classified by work type to a pre-designated construction company for each work type and receives from the construction company whether defect repairs corresponding to each defect data have been completed.
