Abstract | An electrowetting optical device includes a conductive liquid and a non-conductive liquid, and the liquid is immiscible. A non-dielectric is surrounded by a surface in contact with the liquid and forms a triple interface. The non-conductive liquid contains 0.0001 wt% to 1 wt% of a surface absorbent. The surface absorbent is an amphiphilic molecule that has a solubility of less than 0.1 wt% in water at 25 ℃.
