According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a payment method performed by a server including at least one processor may comprise the following steps: receiving a user's item payment request signal from a first device; determining a second device to proceed with item payment based on the item payment request signal; transmitting a message including payment information to the second device and causing the message to be output in a message application installed on the second device; providing, when an item providing request signal is received from the second device as payment is processed through the message in the second device, an item related to the item payment request signal to the user's account based on the item providing request signal.
