In accordance with a technical concept of the present disclosure, a user equipment (UE) operation method includes the following steps of: receiving CSI-RS configuration information including time and frequency location information of a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) based on any one of density levels: 0.5, 1, and 3 from a base station; determining whether to change the density level of the CSI-RS based on channel characteristics with the base station; transmitting a CSI-RS density change request message to the base station based on the determination through upper layer signaling; receiving the CSI-RS based on the density change request message from the base station based on the CSI-RS configuration information; estimating a channel with the base station based on the CSI-RS; and transmitting a CSI-RS report based on the estimated channel to the base station. Therefore, the present invention is capable of more accurately performing channel estimation and delay spread estimation in a long-delay channel. 본 개시의 기술적 사상에 따른 UE(user equipment)의 동작 방법은 기지국으로부터 밀집도(density) 0.5, 1 및 3 중 어느 하나에 기반한 CSI-RS의 시간 및 주파수 위치 정보를 포함하는 CSI-RS 설정(configuration) 정보를 수신하는 단계, 상기 기지국과의 채널 특성을 기반으로 CSI-RS(channel state information-reference signal)의 밀집도 변경 여부를 결정하는 단계, 상기 기지국에게 상위 계층 시그널링을 통해 상기 결정에 기초하여 CSI-RS 밀집도 변경 요청 메시지를 전송하는 단계, 상기 CSI-RS 설정 정보에 기초하여 상기 기지국으로부터 상기 밀집도 변경 요청 메시지에 기반한 CSI-RS를 수신하는 단계, 상기 CSI-RS를 기반으로 상기 기지국과의 채널을 추정하는 단계 및 상기 기지국에 상기 추정된 채널에 기반하는 CSI-RS 보고(report)를 송신하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
