Summary: | The present invention relates to a semi-finished product (15) for manufacturing an electrical contact element (1), an electrical contact element (1), and a manufacturing method thereof. The semi-finished product (15) is provided according to the invention to ensure a reliable connection between a plurality of workpieces from which the contact element (1) is to be manufactured, and includes a first metallic workpiece (17) and a second metallic workpiece (19). The first metallic workpiece (17) has a front side (25) and a rear side (27) arranged opposite the front side (25), wherein the rear side (27) is arranged closer to the second metallic workpiece (19). In addition, the semi-finished product (15) includes at least one window (23), which extends at least through the first metallic workpiece (17), and a surface (29) of the second metallic workpiece (19) is accessible from the first metallic workpiece (17) via at least one window. Moreover, the window (23) has a base area (33) which starts from the front side (25) of the first metallic workpiece (17) and increases toward the second metallic workpiece (19). Accordingly, manufacture of the electrical contact element assembled from several parts is simplified.
