The present specification relates to a screening method for a solvent for polyvinyl chloride extraction, a composition, and a method for recycling recycled polyvinyl chloride and wastes. The screening method for the solvent for polyvinyl chloride extraction comprises the following steps of: selecting a good solvent for extracting polyvinyl chloride from the wastes containing polyvinyl chloride as one of solvents having a PVC swelling score value of 0 or less according to Equation 1 below; and selecting a non-solvent for extracting the polyvinyl chloride from the wastes containing the polyvinyl chloride.
