The present invention relates to a method and a device for transmitting a real-time DICOM video. According to the present invention, a specific medical image or region required for a video source by at least one modality is set as an ROI. Also, medical images or regions other than the ROI are transmitted by minimizing a data size within a possible range, through lossy compression and the like. In addition, the medical image set as the ROI is transmitted as an original image. Accordingly, a video source of a desired medical image is transmitted in real time using DICOM by effectively utilizing a network bandwidth while securing high image quality on a region significantly impacting on medical image interpretation. 본 발명은 다이콤 실시간 비디오 전송 방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 적어도 하나 이상의 모달리티에 의한 비디오 소스에 대해서 필요한 특정 의료영상이나 영역을 ROI로 설정하고, ROI 이외의 다른 의료영상이나 영역들은 손실압축 등을 통해 데이터 사이즈를 가능한 줄여서 전송하도록 하며, ROI로 설정한 의료영상은 원본영상을 그대로 전송함으로써, 의료영상 판독에 중요한 영향을 미치는 영역에 대해서는 고화질을 보장하면서 효과적으로 네트워크 대역폭을 활용하여 원하는 의료영상의 비디오 소스를 다이콤을 이용하여 실시간으로 전송하는 방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것이다.
