Summary: | The present invention relates to a slurry for suspension plasma spraying containing a dispersion medium and rare earth oxide particles, wherein the rare earth oxide particles have a particle diameter D50 of 1.5 μm to 5 μm, a BET specific surface area of less than 1 m^2/g, and a content of rare earth oxide particles in the slurry of 10 to 45 wt%. The slurry for thermal spraying of the present invention can contribute to stable formation of a spray coating containing a rare earth oxide phase as a main phase.
