Disclosed is a massage apparatus. The massage apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a main body which has a massage module; an external device which is capable of connecting to the main body; and a connector which is provided in the main body to connect the external device to the main body. The connector comprises: a sensing unit which senses connections with the external device; a first power unit which supplies a first voltage to the external device; and a communication unit which performs communications with the external device. When the sensing unit senses connections with the external device, the first power unit supplies the first voltage to the external device, and the communication unit tries to communicate with the external device and when receiving an identification signal from the external device, transmits the signal to the sensing unit.
