Summary:A time synchronization method using 5G reference time distribution and a network entity performing the same are provided. The time synchronization method comprises the steps of: allowing a time-sensitive communication time synchronization function (TSCTSF) to receive a 5G reference time distribution request including a time synchronization parameter value from an application function (AF); allowing the TSCTSF to perform policy modification; and allowing the TSCTSF to transmit the setting of the 5G reference time distribution to the AF. Even though a separate grandmaster clock is not provided, a synchronization service may be provided using only a 5G system clock. 5G 레퍼런스 시간 분배를 사용하는 시간 동기화 방법 및 이를 수행하는 네트워크 엔티티가 제공된다. 시간 동기화 방법은, TSCTSF(Time Sensitive Communication Time Synchronization Function)가 AF(Application Function)로부터 시간 동기화 파라미터 값을 포함하는 5G 레퍼런스 시간 분배 요청을 수신하는 단계; 상기 TSCTSF가 정책 수정을 수행하는 단계; 및 상기 TSCTSF가 상기 5G 레퍼런스 시간 분배의 설정을 상기 AF에 전달하는 단계를 포함하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
